On April 14th, 2017, the MagicBand On Demand systems throughout Walt Disney World were updated to use MagicBand 2. You can no longer get the designs on the original MagicBand, and some designs have been completely removed and/or changed in the system. Here’s a full recap of what I know some changes are. These are the designs available at either Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios (Star Wars bands only), or Disney Springs. You cannot yet print these On Demand designs on black, white, or teal colored bands.
Here’s what I’ve seen so far:
Can you have any colour with the designs above?
Yes, any color except black, white, and teal at this time.
Are they likely to offer white bands in the on demand stations anytime soon?
No idea… I hope so.
Are the 20,000 Leagues and MS Electrical Parade no longer available?
Not at this time, no.
I’m assuming that’s a no for the E-Ticket design as well?
Not that I saw, no. Sorry.
Where are the On Deman kioks located? Are all the same designs available in all of the kiosks?
Disney Springs – Co-Op Marketplace
Magic Kingdom – Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
Hollywood Studios – Star Wars Launch Bay
Is it safe to assume that all of the Magic Band 2.0 On-Demand designs you noted in your post as being included with the switch over in April 2017 are still available at one of the On-Demand locations (not sure how much then change things out). Specifically I’m wondering as to the odds of Belle, Goofy, and Monster’s Inc being available in October at the D-Tech in Disney Springs?
Those should all be there because they are pretty common designs.
